Found a nice link on Etruscan Sexuality with Roman documentary evidence:
www.mysteriousetruscans.com/theo....html
(Over 18's only.)
It's hard to really elucidate however whether what the Romans wrote about the Etruscans is true or not, or just if they were biased because Etruscan women had a lot more freedom than their Roman counterparts (according to a number of historians), or even if the Romans were just naturally being competitive.

Re: Etruscan sexuality
Fri, January 14, 2005 - 8:07 AMReaching way back into my college days i do recall a number of articles regarding the etruscans from the roman point of view - and while the roman point was to make the etruscans look immoral it's actually the romans who come across...well... sounding rather gay :^)
Which is neither here nor there to me, the central point lying more along the lines of the need that the romans felt for the propaganda in the first place. -

Re: Etruscan sexuality
Fri, January 14, 2005 - 12:25 PMThere are many greek references too, and I'm guessing the Greeks were alot less judgemental (cos they were just as naughty!)...
Along similar lines, I recently came across a book titled "Sexual Life in Ancient Egypt" and it was full of primary documentary evidence (steles, papyri etc) of what amounted to Egyptian porn:
The book:

is unfortunately $100 (2nd edition) in my local 2nd hand bookshop.
(Seattle is a haven of bookshops btw)
I am seriously considering buying it however. <sigh>
